Tourist boat rescued in Luxor after fire

Fire on Nile cruise boat carrying 87 tourists in Upper Egypt, no injuries reported

Security forces rescued a cruise boat carrying 87 tourists in Luxor late Sunday night morning after part of its roof caught fire.

No casualties or injuries were reported.

The boat was transported to shore at Armant where it underwent inspections.

The boat suffered little damage, Al-Ahram Arabic news website reported.

In January, a tourist boat carrying 112 passengers was rescued near Aswan’s Kom Ombo after it crashed into rocks.
