Former president Mohamed Morsi and eight other Islamist leaders have been hit with travel bans by the prosecutor-general.

The Muslim Brotherhood's Mohamed El-Beltagy, Sobhy Saleh, Mahdy Akef, Mohamed El-Omda, and the moderate Islamist Wasat Party's Essam Sultan were among the eight.

The travel bans were reportedly imposed over complaints they had insulted the judiciary in the media.
