Head of the Egyptian Popular Current Hamdeen Sabbahi underlined Wednesday the importance of all Egyptians backing Interim President Adly Mansour and his transitional Cabinet in order to implement the "roadmap" laid down last month, Al-Ahram Arabic website reported.
The roadmap was announced by army commander-in-chief Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi on 3 July after the ouster of former president Mohamed Morsi. It is endorsed by national figrues and political currents and details the transition of Egypt back to civilian rule.
Sabbahi, in a meeting in his hometown in Kafr El-Sheikh governorate, discussed the current Egyptian situation after 30 June. He stated that the "people won [on 30 June], and the army sided with them."
The meeting was held in Sabbahi's home in Balteem and included members of newly formed offices for the Popular Current in Kafr El-Sheikh.
