The number of reported injuries from clashes on Friday between security forces and protesters has reached 34, according to health ministry official Khaled el-Khatib.

Loyalists of deposed president Mohamed Morsi held a number of marches and protests around Egypt on Friday in opposition to his ouster in what they describe as a “military coup.”

Clashes erupted between police and protesters at the Media Production Centre, a complex outside Cairo were most private Egyptian television channels are based, leaving 25 injured.

One person was injured in demonstrations in Ain Shams in northern Cairo, while eight people were injured during protests in the Upper Egyptian city of Fayoum.

The types of injuries vary, with reports of fainting, cuts and pellet shot injuries.
