The funeral of Bilal Gaber, a teenager killed during a pro-Morsi protest on Friday, is to be held on Sunday in Cairo's Nasr City.

Supporters of former president Mohamed Morsi were marching towards Rabaa Al-Adawiya, where hundreds of pro-Morsi protesters were killed by security forces on 14 August, when police allegedly shot Gaber dead.

Students Against The Coup, a pro-Morsi youth group, called for students to join the funeral after noon prayers at the Al-Iman Mosque.

On Saturday, the group demonstrated at the Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University, where Gaber was a student. Students also called for a boycott of the day's lectures under the slogan, “As long as students' blood is cheap there will not be university or education."

Protesters took to the streets on Friday to mark 100 days since Morsi's ouster. His supporters, led by his Muslim Brotherhood, have been protesting what they term a ‘coup’ against Egypt’s first democratically-elected leader since the army deposed Morsi on 3 July amid mass popular protests against his rule.
