Supporters of the Muslim Brotherhood killed a taxi driver by slitting his throat after he ran over a female protester on Monday in Egypt's Nile Delta governorate of Daqahliya.

According to a preliminary medical report, 24-year-old Mohamed Othman died from a deep cut in his neck, Al-Ahram Arabic news website reported.

Eyewitnesses told Al-Ahram that the taxi driver ran over the protester after he demanded a crowd let him pass and they refused. Members of the crowd killed him and torched his car.

The female protester was transferred to a nearby hospital where she remains in critical condition, according to a pro-Brotherhood Facebook page named "Al-Azhar University in Mansoura."

Public executions have occurred sporadically in Egypt in the past three years. Citizens appear to have become bolder in taking matters into their own hands because of a security vacuum following the ouster of president Hosni Mubarak 2011.

Since the ouster of Mohamed Morsi in July, the Muslim Brotherhood and its supporters have been staging regular demonstrations against what they call a military coup, demanding Morsi's reinstatement.

The Brotherhood has been active recently on university campuses, staging daily "anti-coup" student protests, some escalating into violent clashes.

Pro-Morsi protests, however, have become increasingly smaller amid a crackdown on Islamists.

The modern Egypt
This is the real face of Egypt n Egyptians today. Killing of any human being is a sin a crime n must b condem by all who call themselves human beings, regardless who is the victom n who is or the killer. But it really very sad state of Egypt today. They only condem the killing if the killer is from opposite political segment but they shut their eyes, lips n ears when their own supporter kill the innocent human beings but from opposit political current and worse they appreciate n the support the killing n barbaric crimes against humanity.shame on this inhuman behaviour.

Were you sleeping for past 6 months ?
Why this selective outrage ? Military fascists have been killing thousands of people for no reasons, at least this person was killed because he tried to kill others.

At least he was not killed for just protesting
He was killed because MB people care about women, other wise protestors in Tahrir square in June this year allowed hundreds of rape. Shame on you secularists who is trying to take side of a criminal.

really?
And where in our Quran does it say that that this is allowed? That's the problem with you MB, you twist and turn things for your own benefit. If they really care about women, what about his wife and sisters?? Your time in Egypt in limited.... you will all pay for your crimes against the great people of Egypt... both in this world and after!!!

Really? They care about women!?
Is that why FGM is so high on their agenda for women. Or under age marriage, women are a tool for MB to fulfil their desired or to serve their agendas

Equal Law
All participants should be arrested and equally accused of initiating violence and MURDER !!! I was a witness of inhuman rage by MB's when they walk-through my area and people were showing them "peace sign" (V shape) not a "rabaa sign".

Those fascist thugs are banning freedom of speech, they have even shut down the Bassem because he was talking against them.

Peaceful?
In my head this is what I imagine happened a crowd of MB blocking a road taxi in amongst the crowd or very close, close enough to beep his horn or verbally ask to pass through. MB refuse so he tries to force through all the while at low speed. Crowd goes into a frenzy smash windows force car to a stop and do what they did. If he was driving fast enough to hit this girl and put her in intensive care wouldn't he keep going I think MB made this story up its allays women recently as well all part of there new public image. RIZp taxi driver just trying to earn a living.

For Real
So, let me understand this. They killed the taxi driver and wrote "Killer" on his cab. The man ask them to move so he could go by and they refused. he hit only 1 protester that is still alive in the hospital. They slit his throat and set the car on fire... and they say they are non-violent.. yeah right. No one has the right to kill someone if you are supposed to have laws in place. This proves that it will never be any law upheld in Egypt. They continue to be protest without following the law, killings that is not up held by the law (if it is even a law), and no arrest being made after such acts. SAD for this country...
