Anti-government, pro-Morsi protests took place in Ain Shams and in Giza

Egypt's health ministry announced on Saturday that one person died and 19 were injured in clashes in Cairo between Morsi supporters, locals and police personnel on Friday.

Around 4,000 Morsi-loyalists demonstrated in Ain Shams in eastern Cairo on Friday following weekly prayers.

Friday’s protest was called for by the pro-Morsi National Alliance to Support Legitimacy against what they called “the ruling of the corrupt.”

Dozens of female pro-Morsi demonstrators also marched in the capital's Imbaba district after Friday prayers. Other demonstrations took place in southern Giza and on Assiut's agricultural road which led to traffic congestion.

On Thursday, a lawsuit demanding the suspension of all activities by the National Alliance to Support Legitimacy was rejected by a court.
