Ethiopian Prime Minister Meles Zenawi, (Reuters).
Interim Prime Minister, Essam Sharaf, on Monday sat down with Ethiopia’s ambassador to Egypt, Ibrahim Edriss, in a meeting that saw the latter emphasise that his country is willing to turn a new page and get over the Nile Basin Saga.
Edriss suggested a different type of co-operation between both countries, after tensions escalated of late, due to a lengthy conflict over water shares.
Ethiopia's government had previously said that it plans to build a hydroelectric power dam along the Blue Nile River, despite objections from Egypt and Sudan.
