Leading Muslim Brotherhood figure Mohamed El-Beltagy was sentenced to a year in prison on Saturday for insulting the judges in a trial in which he and other Brotherhood members are accused of inciting violence against protesters outside the presidential palace last year.

Cairo's Criminal Court gave El-Beltagy the sentence after he accused the court of bias during Saturday's proceedings.

El-Beltagy and 14 other co-defendants are accused of inciting the murder and torture of opposition protesters outside the presidential palace in December 2012.

At least ten people were killed in the clashes, triggered when then-president Mohamed Morsi issued a decree elevating his decisions above judicial review.

The Nazi judge must be vilified
The terrorist Nazi judge who issued this verdict is a cancer upon Egypt. His decision shows the Egyptian justice system has become a den of corruption and inequity.

Order is important for Egypt
Congratulations! Anyone who supports freedom of speech, freedom of the press, the right of peaceful assembly in Egypt should be arrested and put in prison. The rule of the courts, the police and the military is all that is important in Egypt today. Anyone who wants democracy should move from Egypt and go to some country where they value human rights, justice and independent thinking.

Finally!
I'm so proud of the court finally making a right decision! After months of jokes, they're doing a great thing of locking up more leaders of the brotherhood. All the good people of Egypt, are behind the decisions of this court and Sisi! God protect him and save Egypt!
