“No to terrorism, yes to national unity.” “Terrorism will not tear us apart.”

Such slogans were shouted out in three state universities today. Ain Shams, Helwan and Alexandria Universities’ students and staff stood in protest to show unity and express condemnation of the bomb attack on the Saints Church in Alexandria.

Students and staff declared that terrorism does not target Muslims or Christians but the whole nation and that everyone should recognize this so Egypt will not be an easy target and remain united.

Other universities, including Cairo University, are expected to demonstrate their condemnation at the atrocity, tomorrow.
