Egypt train shooting suspect transferred to State Security Tribunal

Amer Ashour, the policeman accused in the Samalout train shooting, was transferred to the State Security Tribunal by the General Prosecutor

The General Prosecutor has transferred the case of the policeman behind the Samalout train shooting to the State Security Tribunal.

The policeman, Amer Ashour, is accused of opening fire in a train in the Upper Egyptian town of Samalout on Tuesday night, which led to the death of one Copt and the injury of five others.

Ashour is accused of murder, attempted murder and of terrorising the train passengers.
