As army APCs drive by, cheering Port Said residents can be heard chanting 'The people and army are one hand,' hours after police forces withdrew from the Suez Canal city on Friday morning.

Meanwhile, protesters manage to access the roof of the interior ministry's Security Directorate building, the site of recent bloody clashes between protesters and police, where they remove the ministry's flag.

As the flag is brought down, army personnel, too, can be seen on the roof.
