The fashion world is on alert this time of the year with millions anticipating the new chic and classic trends in the dresses, jewelry and footwear that appear on the red carpet.

The Oscars never fail to attract the attention of fashionistas and beauty seekers from all over the world.

Most of the attendants look their best, never the less many come under scrutiny for making choices from a "wardrobe malfunction" to looking utterly disastrous.

Some previous years were blurry in terms of the fashion and style outlines that were displayed, but that was unlike this year's choices.
