Al-Ikhwan Al-muslimin: kera’a fil malafat al-serreya (The Muslim Brotherhood: A reading into the secret files) by Abdel-Rehim Ali, Cairo: General Egyptian Book Organisation, 2011.

The book analyzses and tracks the Muslim Brotherhood’s history of opportunism, even since its early days, describing its relationship with politics and fluid, constantly changing alliances. The book also discusses the internal workings of the Brotherhood. The last two sections cover the philosophical background of the movement, its international relations, and in particular with the US.

Abdel-Rehim Ali is a journalist and researcher specialised in Islamic movements. He established and now manages the Arab Centre for Research and Studies.
