The Cultural Committee of the Egyptian writers’ union announced that there will be a monthly salon for youth, titled Youth’s Salon, on the first Saturday of each month.

 The Cultural Committee of the Egyptian writers’ union announced that there will be a monthly salon for youth, titled Youth’s Salon, on the first Saturday of each month. The first lecture is scheduled to be at Saturday, January 1st, 2011, under the title Youth’s Awards. The first lecture discusses the collection of poemsby the poet Magdy Abdel-Rahim Crossing the Street with an Old Lady. The Book of the Republic Prize was awarded jointly to Magdy Abdel-Rahim and another vernacular poet in 2010.  Dr. Hossam Akl, critic Yousry Abdullah.Dr. Zeinab El-Assal, and the poet Mahmoud Batosh, will participate in the discussion, that will be, at 7 PM, headed by the poet Abdo El-Zaraa.

The President of the Egyptian Writers’ Union Mohamed Salmawy has showed a great interest in the creativity of youth. He wishes to establish a monthly seminar for creative youth, during preparing for new writing current conference, which was held by the Union recently.
