Book Talk: Omar Robert Hamilton to discuss his work at AUC Tahrir campus

The American University in Cairo (AUC) will host writer and filmmaker Omar Robert Hamilton Thursday at 7:00pm at its Tahrir campus to talk about his work in a discussion run by journalist Lina Atallah.

The event comes as the first in a series entitled "Cairo Conversations".

The event will also celebrates the lauch of HUSSLab, a project of AUC's School of Humanities and Social Sciences, supported by the Andrew W Mellon Foundation, to promote the public humanities in Egypt and the Global South.

The event will be held in Oriental Hall.

Hamilton co-founded the Palestine Festival of Literature and the Mosireen media collective in Cairo. He recently released his novel "The City Always Wins," set during the Egyptian Revolution in 2011 that toppled President Hosni Mubarak.
