AUC School of Global Affairs and Public Policy to host lecture on Syria

The School of Global Affairs and Public Policy at the American University in Cairo (AUC) will host a lecture on 4 March titled "Reflection on the Syrian Crisis."

The lecture is part of the university’s Tahrir Dialogue series, and will be held from 6pm to 8pm at the Hotel Sofitel Cairo Nile El-Gezirah, Opera 1 Ballroom.

The speaker at the event will be Ramzy Ezz El-Din Ramzy, the deputy special envoy of the UN secretary-general for Syria.

Ramzy also served as head of the mission of the League of Arab States to Austria and as a permanent observer to the United Nations in Vienna. Ramzy is the former ambassador of Egypt in Germany and Brazil. He is also an alumnus of the American University in Cairo.
