Merit publishing house will host poet Ramy Yahia on Wednesday 29 February at 7:00pm to discuss his newly released poems collection Kalam Karim (Holy Talk). The discussion will be run by Poet Abdel-Hakam Soliman.
Kalam Karim poems collection was met with early criticism by a Saudi preacher who accused Yahia with “intertextuality” with the Holy Qur’an after the author published excerpts of the collection in Alghawoon Lebanese literary magazine; yet Yahia insisted on publishing the collection as it is.
Ramy Yahia, a young Egyptian poet, has two previous slang poems collections: Sa’louk (Wretched) and Algharib (The Stranger).
