According to the publisher's note, this book introduces the first novel published by writer, Wafaa Boghdady. Boghdady is able in the book to achieve the difficult challenge of sharing her biographical story in a poetic soft language. The note suggests "possibly her pride is what made her let the wheelchair to speak on her behalf."
