El-Beliatcho wal Sirk ("The Clown and the Circus" ) is the latest issue of the new children's book series Colour and Learn, published by Al-Ahram Establishment.

The series focuses on teaching children drawing and colouring skills through large drawings.

The new issue is the fifth in the series authored by Said Badawy, who says he surveyed more than 60 children from different parts of Egypt while working on the book to make sure it is tailored to their needs.

The book contains sketches with water colours and wooden pencils. The other part includes plain drawings for children to colour.

Badawy dedicates a part of the book to puzzles and riddles, in addition to the Clown Game, similar to the snake and ladder, to help children improve their drawing skills.

Badawy is a graduate of the Faculty of Applied Arts, 1969. He joined Al-Ahram Establishment and supervised the printing process of Al-Ahram Weekly. He has published 21 children's books.
