Shiite militiamen have launched an attack on the residence of President Abdrabuh Mansur Hadi with the aim of toppling him, Information Minister Nadia Sakkaf said Tuesday.

"The Yemeni president is under attack by militiamen who want to overthrow the regime," she wrote on Twitter, shortly after clashes erupted outside Hadi's residence in western Sanaa between Huthi fighters and troops.
