Turkish security forces have killed 23 Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) militants during two days of operations in the towns of Silopi and Cizre in southeast Turkey, state-run Anadolu Agency said on Thursday.

The two towns, near the Syrian and Iraqi borders in the southeastern province of Sirnak, were placed under curfew on Monday night as Turkey launched operations targeting PKK fighters in the area.
