The United States and its allies targeted Islamic State (IS) group militants with 21 strikes in Iraq on Friday and two in Syria, the US military said on Saturday.

Four of the strikes in Iraq were near Hit, striking a large tactical unit and 30 IS group boats.

In Syria, one strike destroyed seven IS rockets and a mortar system near Manbij.
