The leader of Lebanon's Hezbollah said on Friday U.S. sanctions would not impact the Iran-backed Shia group but said they could harm its supporters, calling it "part of the battle".

Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, in a televised address, also said the Lebanese government was responsible for people affected by the sanctions and must not turn its back on them.
