Senior UN nuclear officials will visit Iran on 29-31January, the Islamic republic’s envoy to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said on Tuesday.
Vienna-based diplomats last week said the IAEA team was expected to travel to Tehran later this month, seeking explanations on concerns that Iran may be trying to develop nuclear weapons capability.
"This trip is another sign of the transparency of Iran's nuclear activities and the country's cooperation with the IAEA," Iranian Ambassador Ali Asghar Soltanieh told Fars News Agency.
