Two rockets were fired from south Lebanon towards the Israeli border on Wednesday evening, a Lebanese security official told AFP.
"Two rockets were fired, one fell in what was clearly Lebanese territory, the other went towards Israel," the official said on condition of anonymity. It was not immediately clear where the second rocket fell.
This comes in light of the turbulent situation in Israel and Palestine over the week-long offensive carried out by the Israeli military on Gaza. A recent truce has however been announced in a press conference held in Cairo between US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Egyptian Foreign minister Mohamed Kamel Amr.
