Sources in Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu’s office denied news that Yaakov Amidror, the head of Israel's National Security Council (NSC), was considering cancelling the Oslo Accords in response to the unilateral Palestinian initiative to approach the United Nations for petition for recognition as an independent Palestinian state this September.

Israeli Radio on Monday quoted sources as saying that Netanyahu had asked Amidror to study all actions Israel can adopt in the case that the Palestinians decide to move forward with the unilateral move.

The Israeli newspaper, Haaretz, mentioned in the Monday possibility of cancelling the Oslo Accords.
