French presidency 'condemns the violence' in Gaza

The French presidency condemned "the violence" in Gaza on Monday after 52 Palestinians were killed in clashes with Israeli occupying forces during protests over the US embassy opening in Jerusalem.

President Emmanuel Macron "will speak to all the actors in the region in the coming days," his office said in a statement.
