Israeli occupation forces killed a Palestinian man on Monday, as he allegedly attempted to cross through the Israeli-imposed border fence along the eastern Gaza Strip, according to the Palestinian Ma'an agency news.
Locals reported that Israeli forces opened fire on two Palestinian youths near the border in the southern Gaza Strip - besieged by Israel since 2007 - killing one.
The other man reportedly managed to flee the scene.
The identity of the slain Palestinian remains unknown.
The Israeli army claimed that the slain man approached the fence "with an Axe before they shot him dead."
Israel has killed tens of Palestinians and injured thousands using live ammunition since the Right of Return protests began in gaza last March.
