Libya's deputy head of the National Transitional Council (NTC), Abdel Hafiz Ghoga, submits his resignation Sunday, says Al-Jazeera's arabic website.
"I do not want to influence the NTC and for national interests I chose to resign," Ghoga told Al Jazeera's satellite broadcaster, as reported by AFP.
Ghoga faced protests demanding his resignation this week, where he was charged with a belated defection from former Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi's regime. He was also accused of marginalising rebels injured in the war against Gaddafi.
