The UN special envoy to Yemen Martin Griffiths said on Saturday he is "extremely concerned" about the attacks against two major oil facilities in Saudi Arabia.

In a press statement, he pointed out that the "recent military escalation is extremely worrying".

"The Special Envoy calls on all parties to exercise restraint. The Special Envoy urges all parties to prevent such further incidents, which pose a serious threat to regional security, complicate the already fragile situation and jeopardize UN-led political process", added Griffiths.
