Saudi Arabia has not requested Russia's assistance after attacks on two plants at the heart of its oil industry, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told Vedomosti daily on Sunday.

"It's unclear whether they need help. It's unlikely," Peskov was quoted as saying. "They already have all the necessary capacities."

Russian President Vladimir Putin is aware of the attacks, Peskov added.
