Turkish police detained 15 Iraqi nationals in central Kirsehir province for alleged links to the Islamic State (IS) group, semi-official Anadolu Agency reported on Monday.
An anti-terror operation was launched in the city upon the information that the suspected IS group members were carrying out activities in Kirsehir, anonymous security sources told the agency.
The authorities determined that some of the Iraqi nationals illegally entered Turkey and were active members of the IS group when they were in Iraq.
