Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan denied on Monday in a tweet that Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman met Israeli officials during US secretary of State Mike Pompeo's recent visit to Saudi Arabia.

"I have seen press reports about a purported meeting between HRH the Crown Prince and Israeli officials during the recent visit by Pompeo," bin Farhan tweeted.

"No such meeting occurred. The only officials present were American and Saudi," bin Farhan added in his tweet.

Earlier on Monday, Israeli media reported that israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the head of Israel’s Mossad spy agency met the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia in the city of Neom, Saudi Arabia, during Pompeo's visit to the kingdom.

Following recent normalization deals between Bahrain, the UAE and Israel, Saudi Arabia stressed that the price for normalising relations with Israel is the creation of a sovereign Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.
