Tunisian army arrests police officials

Accused of torture and vandalism, police officers are on the run

Tunisian security sources said Saturday that the army arrested senior police officers.

The apprehended police officials are facing charges related to the bloody escalation of the protests that swept the country over the last few days.

It is believed that many of these officers were also involved in burglary and vandalism.
