A planned Egyptian-Palestinian summit is expected to take place on Monday.

In a statement to MENA, the Palestinian ambassador to Egypt and permanent ambassador to the Arab League, Barakat Al-Farra said that Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas is expected to arrive Sunday afternoon in Cairo to hold talks with Egyptian officials. Abbas is expected to inform President Mubarak about the latest Palestinian and Arab overtures to the UN, pushing for a resolution against Israel's settlement policy.
