US blocks UN Council statement on Gaza

The United States on Tuesday blocked a UN Security Council statement on the Gaza conflict, saying it was "counter-productive," as attempts are made to reach a ceasefire, diplomats told AFP.

The United States sent a letter to other council missions just before a Tuesday deadline to approve the Arab-proposed statement saying it was "failing to address the root causes" of the showdown between Israel and Gaza's Hamas rulers, according to UN diplomats.

SHAME SHAME SHAME!!

I am so thoroughly disgustged and ashamed of how my country has and is handling the CRISIS that has been ongoing in OCCUPIED PALESTINE for decades now!! There is a common American phrase, "JUST SAY NO". It is way past the time that America JUST SAYS NO to Zionist influence that is overwhelming and destroying the entire world!
