The international peace conference for Syria is about finding a transition government for the country, not about making "unfounded accusations" about terrorism, French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius said as it opened Wednesday.

"This is not...a way to gain time or make claims without evidence and unfounded accusations. This is about finding a political deal for Syria concerning this transitional authority with full executive powers," Fabius told the Syrian regime during his address at the conference.
