Qatar announces its candidate to head Arab League

Abdel Rahman Ben Hamed Al-Attia, former secretary-general of the Gulf Corporation Council, has emerged as Qatar's candidate to replace current Arab League Secretary-General Amr Moussa, reports MENA

Moussa, holder of the post for the past decade, has announced his intention not to stand again when his second term expires on 15 May.

Yes it is time to allow young leaders like A. al Attiya from a young country with proven international leadership qualities to head the Arab league.
