A suspected vehicle bomb exploded on a road near a busy market in Maiduguri in northeast Nigeria on Tuesday, causing casualties among travellers and shoppers, witnesses said.
The witnesses said they believed the driver of the vehicle, a van, was among those killed or injured adding that several vehicles were damaged.
