Eight people were killed Sunday when a female suicide bomber detonated her explosives among a group of women and children arriving in Maiduguri, northeast Nigeria, from the countryside ravaged by Boko Haram.

Mohammed Kanar, from the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), told AFP the bomber "sneaked in amongst them disguised as an IDP (interally displaced person) before setting off her explosives".
