British Prime Minister Theresa May is ready to give the go-ahead for Britain to take part in military action in response to a suspected chemical weapons attack in Syria, the BBC reported on Wednesday.

May would not seek prior parliamentary approval, the BBC said without naming its sources.

A spokesman for British Prime Minister Theresa May declined to comment on a BBC report that May was ready to approve military action in response to a chemical attack in Syria and that she would not seek prior parliamentary approval as she favoured taking action quickly.
