French President Emmanuel Macron vowed to take "all the time needed" to reach an "ambitious" deal as EU leaders began tough talks on their long-term budget after Brexit.
"If everyone brings a bit of spirit of compromise and ambition, there is a way to find an agreement at this summit. This could take some hours, some nights, some days. I'm ready for it," he said as he arrived.
