A suicide bomber set off Monday's blast at a Moscow international airport that reportedly killed at least 31 people, Interfax quoted a security source as saying.

"According to preliminary information, the explosive device was set off by a suicide bomber in the international departures hall," the news agency quoted the unnamed security source as saying.

The same source said that at least 10 people were killed in the explosion, confirming information provided separately by medical sources.

Investigators are calling the blast an 'act of terror'.
