Afghan gunmen kill seven local staff of French aid group

Suspected Taliban gunmen on Wednesday shot dead seven local staffers working for the French aid group ACTED in a volatile region in northern Afghanistan, government officials said.

The seven men were dragged from their car in the Pashtun Kot district of Faryab province which borders Turkmenistan before being gunned down, Nabi Jan Mullahkhail, the police chief of Faryab, told AFP.
