Egypt's main index inched up by just 0.1 percent during Sunday trading to reach 5,993 points after a volatile session.
The index initially rose to 6,113 in the first hour of trading, but dropped as trading continued.
Egyptian investors were net-buyers to the tune of LE44.3 million according to bourse data, while Arab investors were the largest net-sellers for LE34.9 million, followed by other foreigners.
Market leader Commercial International Bank (CIB) was up 0.95 percent at market close to trade at LE31.76.
El Sewedy Electric was also in the green, having climbed 4.68 percent to LE35.33.
Property developer TMG Holding was down 1.72 percent to LE5.13, while Palm Hills Development Company fell 1.82 percent to LE2.16, and Six of October Development & Investment (SODIC) slid 1.74 percent to LE7.34.
Porto Group was down 3.03 percent to LE0.32.
Telecom Egypt dropped 0.49 percent to LE6.07 and Global Telecom Holding slid 1.64 percent to LE1.80.
