Egypt’s stocks closed slightly down on Sunday with the market’s benchmark EGX30 shedding 0.05 percent to register 7,512 points, despite having local and foreign investors as net buyer.
Egyptian and foreign investors bought some EGP 15.5 million and EGP 8 million worth of shares respectively
Out of 173 stocks traded during the day, 58 shares saw gains and 79 saw losses. Daily turnover for listed securities are worth some EGP 613.6 million.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) edged up 0.23 percent to close at EGP 38.47 per share.
Real estate developer Talaat Moustafa Group (TMG) dipped 0.63 percent to be sold at EGP 6.32 per share.
Telecom Egypt (TE) dropped 1.09 percent to close at EGP 8.14 per share.
Broader index EGX70 inched up 0.1 percent.
