Tourists evade the 'Arab spring' and prefer Turkey

One in ten tourists visiting Turkey comes from an Arab country, finds report

Arab tourists in Turkey increased 26 per cent in the first 9 months of 2011, compared to same period last year, finds a report published on Saturday in Ankara, by Turkish circle of tourism and culture.

677 thousands Arab tourist  visited Istanbul, falling second after Germans (734 thousand).

Turkey received 6 million tourists in first 9 months of 2011, up from 5.7, last year.

The Arab spring neighbour signed agreements to facilitate tourism and offers visa upon entry to many Arab countries.
