EgyptAir's net profits hit EGP 951 million in the first six months of the 2018/2019 fiscal year; the first in ten years,  Egypt's Civil Aviation Ministry revealed in a statement Monday.

Hailing positive results, Minister Younis el Masry said the profits are many times more than those recorded in 2009/2010.

The minister reviewed the results in a meeting with head of the EgyptAir Holding Company Ahmed Adel, who also presented a detailed report on the national air carrier's current and future plans and development demands, which include a plan to double the fleet, improve the customer service center, and update the website to comply with international standards
