Oman’s Ministry of Transport and Communications yesterday signed nine agreements worth US$2.16 billion for the construction of airports and roads, reports the daily Khaleej Times.

Some 1.7 billion of investment will be directed towards building a new terminal at Muscat International airport to handle 12 million annual passengers within 38 months. Other projects will include air control towers, runways, civil aviation buildings and new roads in several cities across the Sultanate.
